Most helpful reviews

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
A Great NAS, with a wide range of additional applications including it's media streaming abilities, general file serving across multiple operating systems, and a very useful download station (which admitedly is very basic, but the next software iteration is set to increase it's functionality). The NAS proved very easy to setup, even for a first-time, home user like myself. It effectively is used as my backup storage for all my PC's, including all my user data, which can be accessed remotely and within the local network by other computers and media renderers alike. A little reading on the QNAP forums can educate pretty much anyone, and essentially opens the doorway to various optional applications that can be installed onto the NAS; for users looking to make the most of their QNAP.

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Despite it's advanced features, it's surprisingly easy to set up and get the basic functionality of the NAS working. The installation software is very easy to use and guides you through all the configuration options.

It's about as feature-rich as you would ever want a home NAS to be. The FTP and Torrent clients are especially useful, as is the DLNA server for streaming media to the PS3. Since it's Linux-based, you can also install pretty much anything you want (unrar is very handy if you're going to use Rapidshare), provided a version is available for ARM processors or you can get the source (precompiled applications for x86 Linux will not work, obv).

It's incredibly quiet - much quieter than the hard drives that you put in it. It must use a very high quality case fan, because it manages to keep the drives at a very reasonable temperature under load with barely any audible fan noise.

Also, the QNAP support forums are very active and extremely useful for anything you might want to do with your NAS or any problems you're having.
Bad points:
It's very expensive for a NAS without any drives. There are comparable systems at around half the price. Admittedly, none of them have this level of features, but you have to ask yourself how many of them you need/want. If you just want a basic NAS, then this is not what you're after.

The software used to remotely control downloads to the NAS (Qget) is pretty flakey and has some annoying aspects (such as not being able to pause/stop more than one download at a time, which can be a drag when you might have 100+ rar parts queued up at any one time).

Good points:
Dead easy to set up, bags of features, looks good, fairly quiet.
Bad points:
Only negative is read/write speeds, but this is an Ethernet bottleneck: once I upgrade my switch to Gb this shouldn't be an issue

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
When it comes to Network Attached Storage (NAS) you can't go wrong when it comes to QNAP. The TS-219P II has a good solid chassis with two hot swappable HDD bays with a capacity of up to 6TB of storage.

Easy to install, and you are up and running within 20 minutes, (depending on your Internet Service Provider ISP) the TS-219P II comes with 2 USB 3.0 ports to expand your storage or backup. It also has one Gigabit Network connection which can bee connected to your existing homes network. The impresive 3.7 QNAP interface is easy to use and pretty straight forward. Although, a novice may find it a little confusing, but will get the hang of things after looking at the online turoial QNAP have set up where you can learn all aspects of the software.

The TS-219P II comes with loads of features from media streaming to watch your filmes and a music station to listen to music streamed to your smart phone using Q-Mobile. The cooling system has a big fan at the rear of the NAS which keeps the HDD bays cool.
Bad points:
The Price
QNAP 3.7 Interface is not for the novice
SATA II only which is a shame because SATA III is much faster

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Neat, good looking, small footprint. Lots of functionality
Bad points:
Set up wasn't easy - couldn't get ip address from dhcp server - had to give it a static ip address. Set up manual is difficult to read (unbelievably tiny font) and a few examples re options available to get most of of this devices's functionality would be a good improvement
