Score 8.0/10
Good points:
It is very convenient, just being able to put it into the radio and forget about it and really makes the radio much more portable. It would just not be convenient to take out batteries out to change or charge them each time they run out (which would be frequently as digital radios use more power).
Bad points:
I think that it is expensive and should be included with the radio. It also seems to need charging more frequently than I thought it would but I haven’t made any attempt to measure how long it lasts. However, I am glad I brought it and would buy another.

Alison, Bath

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
great not to have to worry about buying batteries (which, as I understand, these radios get through very quickly)
Bad points:
I have 2 of these Pure DAB radios and I alternate in charging them - one plugged in whilst the other is in the bathroom being used until the battery runs flat. I have noticed that one of the batteries is VERY slow in recharging - perhaps weeks before it appears to be full power.
