Good points:
Bought this iron as my mother has one and I was very impressed with it. Extra long cord, and situated so it doesn't get in the way when you stand the iron on end. Ceramic soleplate (glides easily, hardwearing and doesn't pick up fibres on high heat, as my stainless steel one did). Can't comment on the calc system, as I live in a very hard water area and use filtered tap water in my iron and therefore no longer have a calc problem. However, the one on my last Philips worked great, but I did have to clean it thoroughly first or it would spot on clothes.
Bad points:
Quite a heavy iron - but then gets the creases out so much better than other non-Philips irons I've used.

Good points:
Great price and very powerful. I iron many cotton shirts and this iron made it so easy. Very highly recommended and the low price is an extra bonus.
Bad points:
The measuring jug for water is bigger than the capacity for water in iron, so keep overfilling. But that is so so so minor.

Confirmed purchaser Frequent ironer

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
It irons well , good steam supply and large water capacity. Long lead is good but could do with some form of storage system, maybe a H loom to wrap it on.
Bad points:
Hard plastic feel, steam switch in handle compression takes some getting used to, it feels loose. This model doesn't switch off if left switched on but unused (which my old iron did and I found good from a safety and economy point of view).
