Good points:
A nicely balanced camera, which feels comfortable to use even with the 55-200 lens. The controls are well laid out and easy to find. This is my first Digital SLR, and I would recommend it anyone starting with this type of camera.

Good points:
used a pentax point and shoot camera for a long time and loved it. Went to Nikon for only a couple of months before changing and upgrading to this because the system is so simple and easy to use.
Love that it ALWAYS takes the photo, even if some parts are completely out of focus. Some cameras on autofocus tend to just point black refuse to take the photo, but with pentax you can chose to override this.
Love that you can chose the focus points al well
Bad points:
Would always go for pentax over canon although it is more expensive for a very simular camera. Just because of the casing which doesnt feel plasticy and the system, but it does mean the pentax is more for perhaps the same quality photo.
