Dave, Cambridge Keen amateur
- Good points:
- I previously owned a Pentax 1st. On the K7 I particularly like the large display and the rapid fire continuous focussing facility.
- Bad points:
- Just as on other Pentax cameras (the 1st for example), it is far too easy to accidentally turn the front e-dial and change the shutter speed. I have resorted to taping it up although if I thoroughly read the manual it may well be possible to lock the speed electronically.

- Good points:
- Hits a new and very sweet spot in the venn diagram of "small" "light" and "sophisticated".
- Bad points:
- The learning curve starts easy, which is good, but then steepens and appears so high I'm not sure I'll ever reach the sunlit uplands of a plateau!

- Good points:
- Integration of ISO adjustment within mode selection. Important controls are on the body not hidden in menus. Compact and lightweight, yet robust. Fast autofocus, quiet shutter. Access to compact prime lenses. Saves RAW files in DNG format. Shake reduction built into camera body.
- Bad points:
- Not enough notice of low battery status - indicator seems to vary between top panel and rear LCD display in live view mode..
