Alex, Music, gaming or video fan

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
- Amazing performance for gaming, video and image editing and general other use. Plenty of umph through the graphics card for playing games at ultra settings
- Great screen - bright and clear, makes games a joy.
- Nice keyboard
- No bloatware
- Excellent value for money, there wasn't another laptop on the market that came close to offering these specs for this much money.
- I was worried about the fans being noisy but it really isn't noticeable, the laptop stays pretty cool even under stress.
- Reassuringly hefty! Well built.
Bad points:
- Onboard speakers lack depth and bass.
- Touchpad can be unresponsive.
- DVD drive is a little shonky - doesn't seem to fit flush against the .
- The battery isn't great, but then you wouldn't buy a 17" gaming rig for that would you?

Adam, Luton Music, gaming or video fan

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
Powerful computer able to easily meet my needs. PC specialist technical support very helpful guys. The one fault one this was poor sound quality but this is fixed with a driver the PC Specialist guys very kindly include in a disk with the laptop. Would highly recommend to some one looking for a decent gaming laptop, this was very well priced
Bad points:
Not the sleekest looking machine, but your paying for what's inside, which more then makes up for it

Quite heavy, you might not want to drag it round on your shoulder all day, but not terrible

Top notch gaming performance - BF4 runs at 35-40FPS on High Detail at 1080p resolutions

Fast in all applications

A lot of laptop for your money - unmatched performance at this price point.
Bad points:
Fan can get a little noisy but it's to be expected

Speakers not the best

Battery life could be stronger when idle.

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
Fast and efficient laptop. Great for the games I play at higher graphic qualities. Fairly quiet but the fans will get louder during higher intensity use (unnoticeable while wearing headphones).
Bad points:
Plain looking but it's what's in the inside that counts.

Matthew, Business user

Score 4.0/10
Good points:
Sturdy build, more like a desktop than a laptop.
Bad points:
Slow, certainly not to the performance the hardware suggests. I will be returning mine and buying a better version. It would realistically be worth the value of a budget laptop not its current price of a high end laptop.
