Best picture I've seen in a 4K tv using a 4K Panasonic Blu Ray player.Netflix 4K streaming is also very good.Overall HD picture at 1080p is also excellent.well impressed.
Bad points:
Only one bad point with I assume most panel TVs,s and that's the Sound is not up to much.
Recommend Home Cinema option if you want the best of both worlds ir Picture and sound.

Confirmed purchaser High spec fanatic

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Easy set up, great picture.
Bad points:
You need a stand the full width of the TV due to the leg design. This alone, I know, has put some purchasers off. The day after I bought this, I couldn't access Netflix and was on the point of returning it when I discovered that the reason was that Netflix is routed through Panasonic's own servers which had been down, not Netflix's. This rerouting is not mentioned anywhere easily noticeable and doubles the potential of server failure to the detriment of the user. Some people may find this a deal breaker. I would have had I known before I bought.

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Very good and intuitive on screen layout for adjusting the numerous settings.
Very good picture quality on Freeview HD
Surprisingly good picture quality on SD broadcasts.
Superb picture quality on 4K content.
Bad points:
Bad layout on remote too easy to press Netflix button.
Also no black light on buttons.
slightly tinny sound quality speakers.
Footprint for mounting on its stand is large so needs a very wide stand.
A centre mounted stand would have been much better and looked nicer.

TV Buyers Guide

Manufacturer's Description

The Panasonic VIERA TX-55CX700B Smart 3D Ultra HD 4k 55" LED TV not only offers high resolution viewing, but also includes Freeview Play, designed to make it even easier to watch the programmes you love.

4k viewing
The VIERA TX-55CX700B offers some of the best viewing around thanks to its Ultra HD 4k resolution. Offering up to four times more detail than HD, UHD 4k brings you beautifully detailed images.

This TV features a built-in 4k decoder, which means that you’ll be able to stream services such as Netflix 4k, and prepares you for the 4k services that will be available in the near-future. The three HDMI 2.0 ports mean that you’ll be able to connect 4k peripherals, including set top boxes, cameras and Blu-ray players.

Freeview Play
Built-in Freeview Play technology means that you’ll be able to enjoy some of the best entertainment without needing a separate set top box. The VIERA 55CX700 is one of the first TVs to include Freeview Play.

As well as allowing you access to a range of digital channels and radio stations, Freeview Play allows you to rewind the TV guide so you can catch up on the TV you’ve missed without requiring separate apps. Whether it’s your favourite BBC or ITV drama or a comedy on 4oD or Demand 5, you can access the programmes directly from the guide.

Making TV Smarter
Don’t put up with a slow TV – the Quad Core Pro processor at the heart of this TV separates Smart TV processing from picture processing. This means that your picture quality remains great even if you’re streaming, so you won’t have to make any sacrifices.

The VIERA 55CX700B boasts a fast and simple Smart interface that’s powered by Mozilla, the company behind the popular Firefox browser. This makes it easy to find the services and functions you want, and pin your favourite apps, show and more to your own custom homepage.

This TV also includes My Stream, which monitors the sorts of shows you like to watch and recommends similar content. It doesn’t just show upcoming shows, but can also search catch up TV and the internet to find content that might interest you. You can make the recommendations more accurate by pressing the ‘My’ button – this tells your TV to look for similar content.

Stay up to date
The Info Frame delivers all the information you need when you switch on the TV, so you can start the day well informed. It provides notification about the weather, updates from Smart TV apps, new recommendations and much more.

Designed to suit you
Take your favourite TV wherever you go thanks to Panasonic Cloud technology. This lets you stream live TV to your smartphone or tablet, so you can enjoy great content no matter where you are. You’ll also be able to watch content from a USB stick or hard drive that’s connected to your TV.

With Voice Assistant, you’ll be able to find everything you’re looking for by simply talking, whether you’re telling it to search for TV shows, websites or searching the internet.
