Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Sharp HD picture, fluid movement, great image with lights down low
Bad points:
Some non-HD images look very low definition on the 42" screen, sound is quite clear but lacks bass like all LED and Plasma screens. In a bright room it suffers from reflection like many Plasma TVs.

Good points:
Quality build, great picture, brilliant TV as you would expect from Panasonic, I would deffinitly recommend this TV to anyone looking for a good quality 42" plasma.
Bad points:
None that I have seen yet, with flat screen thin pannel TV's the sound can be a flakey, having this in mind this TV's sound out put is not that bad at all.

William, Tadley Film and documentary lover

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
This is a realy good plasma tv with a very difined and clear picture.
I use it with my media pc and a blu ray player and i have found the quality to be exceptional. Blacks are black and the colours have exceptional definition.
The 3D works realy well with 3D films and 2D to 3D.
The sound is good for a flat screen tv but a good surround sound system or external speakers would make it shine.
As for the design it is smart and clean, typical panasonic.
The web browser and the viera connect are very easy to use and navigate. i have also used it for skype, very impressed.
Overall a good quality TV for an exceptional price and i would recomend it to my friends and family.
Bad points:
No real bad points apart from the sound from the speakers, they just lack the punch on a good movie sound track.

42" Smart VIERA Plasma TV – FULL HD 3D Picture Quality for Sports and Networking

The display alternately shows images for the left and right eyes. The left and right lenses of the eyewear open and close in sync with this display timing to show separate images to the left and right eyes. By repeating this action at high speed, the brain perceives 3D images. And because this method displays FULL HD 3D images just as they are, both eyes receive 3D images in high, full-HD quality.

This original Panasonic technology detects image movements like the human eye, and optimises the drive accordingly. By achieving instantaneously powerful light emission rather than finely divided emission, it reduces the afterimages that cause blurring. As a result, fast movement is reproduced with excellent clarity.

VIERA Connect allows users to enjoy video and music, sports, games, and a variety of other content in addition to the standard movies and TV programmes on a high-quality large-screen TV through the simple operation of a remote control. The cloud-based Internet service also supports interactive services using applicable equipment as well as an Internet-based shopping function that allows such equipment to be purchased straight from the TV.

You can display Twitter or the Facebook timeline on the side of the screen while you watch a TV program, to stay in touch with friends and acquaintances. If you’re a sports fan, you can watch live games while upping the excitement by chatting with your friends as the game unfolds.

The browser supports HTML5 pages, so you can browse the Internet much like you do with a PC. Unlike a PC, though, the large screen allows the whole family or a group of friends to comfortably view a wide variety of content.
