Everything really.
Bad points:
An annoying hum which I assume comes from a fan. I am awaiting Panasonics response to my complaint as to whether this is a fault before asking Dixons for a .

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Good Picture - especially for realistic looking images for movies (not overblown with colour) - although not perfect (see bad points)
Very thin - excellent for wall mounting
Good 3D (from original 3D sources)
Bad points:
2d to 3d conversion mediocre at best.
No 3D glasses included.
Active 3D glasses expensive and cause flicker if room lets in daylight (passive 3D better in my experience, despite theoretical drop in HD quality with this technology - I sit 8ft from a 55" passive 3D screen and I can't see any loss of picture quality. They are also much lighter to wear, cheap as chips and don't flicker, or run out of power!).
Image is maybe a little dim - especially for 3D - and increasing brightness tends to just make it look "washed out".
Gaming image quality is terrible - it creates a a double image in first person games when rotating - don't believe the hype about plasma being fast for gaming - I have a 60Hz basic LCD samsung which performs MUCH better than this panasonic. If you don't believe me, there are plenty of posts on AV forums about this specific issue with plasma.

Good points:
Very easy setup once you have figured out how to connect all your various equipment. Freeview, Freesat and other Satellite setup working all as it should. Menu's are very easy to guide through, picture and sound quality are great however I have not tested the 3D feature yet. This is a fantastic all rounder and looks great too! This is perfect for those that want an all in one package......
Bad points:
Very disappointed that the inbuilt tuner does not support Diseqc switching as it would have made my life so much easier. The ports to connect Sat and TV cables is very tight, tuc tuc, poor design. The wireless dongle from Panasonic is a rip off.....I would suggest looking at other solutions that DO exist so you can go "online".

Jaxton, Hampshire Film and documentary lover

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
I spent a lot of time comparing Plasma's with LED backlit LCD's (mainly the Samsung D8000), and reading reviews, before I bought this TV. To be honest you get superb TVs now if you are prepared to spend a bit more, so making a decision wasn’t easy.

After side by side comparison of this TV with the Samsung D8000, and playing with settings of both TVs, my conclusion was that this Plasma TV has the most natural picture and resolves fast movement best.

I have had the TV for 1 month and I am still struck daily by the quality of picture, even though I am just watching HD feeview and upscaled DVD's. It’s a real joy. So I am really looking forward to watching BlueRay and 3D very soon.

My advice is to spend time reading reviews and most importantly do some side by side comparisons. At the end of the day it should be your personal preference. There is plenty of contradicting ‘science’ out there and people with ‘opinions’. Just try to avoid the hype around LED LCD’s and what people in the shops try to tell / sell you. The manufacturers overcook brightness with the new LED LCD’s, basically because brighter LEDs have become so cheap to manufacture, and the manufacturers have invested so heavily in LCD technology (PC screens, phones, TVs) so brighter backlit LEDs is an easy change for them to make and to help recoup investment.

Manufacturers and retail know that brightness grabs half-informed consumers and shop staff’s attention in the shops… therefore easier to sell.

(btw – my new TV is in a very bright room, and I have never had to turn the brightness up full on this TV – there is plenty of brightness capacity if I ever need it.)

For what is now several hundred £’s cheaper than a Samsung LED-LCD, with noticeably better and more natural picture quality, and having both feesat and freeview, buying this TV in preference to an LED-LCD TV is a no brainer. The opportunity to pay a lot less for something that, to me, is better doesn’t come along very often 

BTW - the other features that I have used in this TV work great, and I use them a lot… BBC iPlayer, playing movies/pictures from a DLNA server, pausing/recording to an external hard drive, streaming digital audio from BBC iPlayer radio on the TV back out to a receiver amp, all work a treat, but take my advice, buy a TV for the picture quality, get your sound from a separate sound system when watching movies, as all thin TVs have pretty compromised sound (this TV’s sound is fine for everyday watching though), and the internet fluff is best got from a cheap separate box, as the internet features are evolving and changing at such a fast rate anyway.

I strongly advise reading some of the articles in cnet.com, they do a great job of dispelling some of the myths and hype around TVs. Try here: http://asia.cnet.com/led-vs-plasma-vs-lcd-tvs-62213538.htm

And, of course, AVForums… http://www.avforums.com/forums/plasma-tvs/ (read the ‘About Plasma TVs' at the top)

All the above is just my opinion btw :-)
Bad points:
To me there are none. This is not the perfect telly (there is no such thing) but it outstrips the competition on natural picture quality and resolution of fast movement. And it costs significantly less than the inferior and overbright Samsung LED-LCDs.

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
Excellent definition, detail and sound quality. Seamlessly connected via HDMi 'ARC' connection to my Panasonic Home Theatre system, meaning that my Sky HD and 3D Blu Ray Disk player could be heard in Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound. 3D looks awesome too, just dont block the sensors in front of the TV underneath the 'Panasonic' badge on the frame like I did initially! All in all this is a fantastic TV at a great price - Just as the expert reviews said!
Bad points:
The black metallic finish frame of the TV looks really good, but it collects dust pretty easily. Other than this, this TV is faultless - so far!

TV Buyers Guide

Manufacturer's Description

The viewing experience has never been so lifelike and compelling as it is with Panasonic’s 3D Technology. The fast switching phosphors used in the Neo Plasma panels and an original light-emitting process minimise crosstalk (double images) to deliver clear 3D images and ensure comfortable viewing. This technology also helps to improve 2D picture quality.
The 600Hz Sub-field Drive* in VIERA plasma TVs teams up with Intelligent Frame Creation Pro technology to deliver smooth, fluid, on-screen motion. By using an intelligent algorithm within the picture processing based on motion detection, the best combination of frames is created to deliver ultra crisp sports, film and game action. *When using Cinema mode
In Neo Plasma models, contrast in brightly lit locations has been improved. Enhancements to the panel and filter help reproduce images with smooth, natural gradation and deep, rich blacks – even when viewed in bright surroundings. In movies, true, deep blacks faithfully convey the intent of the filmmaker, adding power and realism to the viewing experience.
VIERA Connect allows users to enjoy video and music, sports, games, and a variety of other content in addition to the standard movies and TV programmes on a high-quality large-screen TV through the simple operation of a remote control. The cloud-based Internet service also supports interactive services using applicable equipment as well as an Internet-based shopping function that allows such equipment to be purchased straight from the TV.
You can easily record your favourite TV programmes, films and other content onto an external USB hard disk drive. Recordings can be easily controlled using VIERA’s remote control. And Rew Live TV function for USB HDD recording lets you rewind a live TV programme to catch the scenes you want to see, so you won’t miss important moments.
The VIERA GT30 Plasma TV series includes a DVB-S tuner for Freesat HD and a DVB-T2 tuner for Freeview HD providing you with a convenient, subscription free way of watching HD contents like sport, as well as your favourite soaps, dramas and documentaries in full HD glory wherever you are in the UK (Following a one off installation payment for Freesat HD services whereas for Freeview HD you will need to ensure coverage is available in your local area).
