Good points:
picture is amost instantaneous displayed when turned on my other panasonic took around 4 to 6 seconds for picture to appear
able to display my photos on tv using memory card slot no need for converting software or wasting cd`s putting photographs onto them for displaying
freesat so no need to buy another set top box to clutter up tv stand
able to connect to my laptop to watch films stored on it so once again no need for conversion software and dvd`s
plenty of hd slot`s and other connection options

Good Freesat picture quality. Excellent HD picture quality. DLNA connectivity. Price.
Bad points:
Can't play music from a DLNA server - video or images only. Limited applications available on VieraCast. The TV's surrounding casing isn't great looking compared to some of the latest designs available.

TV Buyers Guide

Manufacturer's Description

New Generation Full HD Plasma TV with freesat built-in, Superb Moving Picture Quality and Advanced Networking Capabilities

freesat is a digital satellite service that offers free HD (High-definition) TV programmes. With the G15 series, you can enjoy sharp pictures, vivid colours, multi-channel sound, and various services with the interactive contents.

600 Hz technology lets you view superb full-HD motion and still images with 1,080 lines of resolution. For even greater clarity with motion images, Panasonic uses its own unique image-analysis technology. This technology converts the motion in each scene into data, then optimises the sub-field to display fast-action scenes in full-HD resolution. And each frame is practically displayed for a shorter length of time than in previous systems, to reduce aftereffects.

VIERA incorporate an improved panel production process and the new Real Black Drive system. A pre-discharge control system, the Real Black Drive system combines with NeoPDP technology to achieve next-generation black reproduction. When you’re watching movies, VIERA renders images just the way the director intended, even in scenes where it’s difficult to achieve a proper balance of light and dark.

Enjoy the Internet contents right on your TV. With VIERA CAST technology, you can enjoy online content such as videos, photos, weather and stock information through an easy-to-use Web interface that’s built into the TV. No extra equipment required.

DLNA is a standard that makes digital electronics easier and more convenient to use on a home network. For example, DLNA makes it possible to watch motion and still images stored in your computer on a large-screen TV, or to watch content stored on a hard disc recorder in your living room or bedroom.

VIERA Link allows interconnected operation of various AV devices using only the VIERA remote control, by simply connecting the devices to each other by an HDMI cable. What’s more, the VIERA Image Viewer provides a new photo viewing experience. Simply insert an SD Memory Card into VIERA to display photos and full-HD videos on the large screen. You can also choose from among 3 types of background music and 4 display effects.
