Good points:
Very easy to set up. The TV nearly did it all by itself. The picture almost looks 3D but it does need connected to the satellite by HDMI to get a good picture. Good picture from all seats in the room and no reflection from our large south facing windows.Very happy with purchase.

Score 6.0/10
Good points:
As a technophobe and single person I found this very easy to set up and light to handle
The instructions easy to use and it the picture quality is good
Bad points:
When you are using the TV guide the sound disappears so you cannot listen to the programme that is on while you are scanning the guide. Ths is very irritating especially as the TV guide is slow in moving between prorammes. With the Sony Bravia could listen to the TV prog/news at the same time and easily flick back if heard something that didnt want to miss. If had known this would never have bought this TV.

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Very good picture quality.
Faster remote than older models as seen in stores.
One HDMI, headphone and phonos' socket on the left side of the set to allow some conectiverty.
Bad points:
the HDMI and ariel leads come streight out of the back, this make them tight and hard to access once the tv is mounted close to the wall as i have. I have mounted it on a fixed bracket and I will need remove the tv from the wall to conect some new inputs although there is one HDMI and audio outs on the side so it should not be a problem many times.

Manufacturer's Description

Full-HD IPS Alpha LED LCD TV with Superb Picture Quality and Advanced Networking Capabilities

The IPS Alpha panel, which is known for its wide viewing angle and excellent light transmittance, is now further enhanced with a bright, energy-saving LED backlight. Images do not fade when viewed from an angle, and a uniformly high-speed response across the entire range ensures crisp moving images with minimal afterglow. The IPS Alpha LED LCD offers superb contrast and also contributes to the display’s slim design.

LEDs achieve high brightness with low power consumption. Our next-generation, high-efficiency LCD was created by using an LED for the backlight and combining it with the IPS Alpha panel, which features high light transmission efficiency. By maximising inherent device advantages, we have achieved highly robust black reproduction while using less power.

It’s easy to view full-HD images with the SD card slot. Watch and show your photos and motion images right after you take them. Simply insert an SD Memory Card into VIERA to display photos and full-HD videos on the large screen. You can also enjoy special background music, slideshow frames and transition effects.
VIERA Link allows the interlinked operation of various AV devices using only the VIERA remote control, by simply connecting the devices to each other by an HDMI cable.

In Game Mode, quicker image response increases the enjoyment of video games when a game console is connected to the TV. What’s more, VIERA produces the dark images in video games more clearly. This mode works with the anti-image retention (wobbling) function, too.

The VIERA E3 LED LCD TV series includes a DVB-T2 tuner for Freeview HD providing you with a convenient, subscription free way of watching HD contents like sport, as well as your favourite soaps, dramas and documentaries in full HD glory wherever you are in the UK (Please ensure that Freeview HD coverage is available in your local area before using this TV).
