The Panasonic DMC-LF1 offers a combination of superb optical performance with low light prowess with creative control and wireless smartphone connectivity to combine timeless standards of image quality with the most contemporary tools to make remote control and sharing both useful and fun.
Large Image Sensor
With its larger than average 1/1.7” MOS sensor, the LF1 has a high signal-to-noise ratio. This means that your images will be smooth and lifelike even in lower light conditions. With its high dynamic range, this 12.1 megapixel image sensor also gives vibrant image tone and definition, even on subtle details.
For bright sunlit conditions and for a traditional viewpoint, the Lumix DMC-LF1 includes an electronic viewfinder which gives 100% coverage of the recorded image area. This is in addition to the large 3.0-inch LCD monitor on the rear of the camera. The LCD monitor has a wide viewing angle and automatic brightness adjustment over 7 steps to account for different lighting levels, and anti-reflection (AR) coating for reduction of glare.
Remote Smartphone and Wi-Fi Connection
The Panasonic LF-1 is equipped with Wi-Fi with NFC Technology which allows you to connect to your smartphone or tablet anywhere with one-touch and you can also use your mobile device as a monitor and remote shutter release. There is also Instant Transfer for sending your photos straight to your device. Alternatively you can archive to your home PC using your wireless router.
Leica Optical Quality
As well as having a lens by one of the finest manufacturers around, the Panasonic LF1 has a maximum aperture of f/2.0 which is roughly twice as bright as the standard f/2.8 maximum aperture, giving great low light performance and greater control over depth of field (what is in and out of focus).
This camera includes many features for personalising and controlling your image making. Features such as Creative Panorama, Creative Retouch and a manual control ring for adjusting zoom, aperture, shutter, ISO, creative control and creative panorama. There is even a Composition Guide complete with frame guides which helps produced well-proportioned images using well-known compositional rules.
