Good points:
Sound quality is better that average and the units are robustly built.
The seller is excellent and when a fault was detected on one unit(4-handset package) one phone call and the unit was replaced FOC within36 hours.
Bad points:
In a multi-handset unit ,you have to update the phone directory individually for each unit . Some other models will update automatically but this is a design feature and reflects the low price paid for the system.

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
Purchased the Panasonic 6461 (KXTG6461ET) ET Dual Telephone quintet set that comes with a wired desk phone, a cordless DECT handset, and 4 additional cordless DECT handsets. The additional handsets supplied were from a different, but compatible, Panasonic phone range (KX-TGA651 EM).

The phones are well designed and easy to use, but take a while to become familiar with using the phone features/operations. The biggest problem has been coping with the different buttons sequence/operations between the two handset models; so using the phone-set downstairs rather than in the bedrooms is proving difficult for the family. In spite of this I am pleased with the system and would recommend it to anyone who needs a similar solution.
Bad points:
1. Different handset buttons sequence/operation.
2. Cannot set an extension name for the handset, like 'LIVING RM', or 'JACK'S RM'. In my family the handset are regularly misplaced or put on the wrong bases, so we have labelled the handsets using a sticky label so we know immediately where it belongs.

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Easy to use; easy to copy memory from one handset to another;
Bad points:
Ringtone not loud enough or not strident enough. Answerphone only says when message left after gap at end of message - easy to confuse with next message - or miss completely. Could not deregister a handset when it broke and I replaced it with this one. Handsets do not indicate which they are (handset1/2 etc) so they don't go back to correct rest; doesn't really matter unless you're copying stuff, then you don't which handset you're sending to or from!

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Comfortable to use and buttons have the right feel, I cannot rate the battery life or range I have not had them long enough.
Bad points:
The phone could be more staightforward to open the menu, to open the address list and program. The ring tones are too limited, they are musical, not loud enough and fail to grab your attention, they cannot be heard if you are outside of the house. The lack of instruction book is a problem if you don't already have another panasonic phone as there isn't one on the Panasonic website. The display font is rather heavy but it can be read easily. When it is charging a LED onthe top of the phone, a charging battery symbol and a message "charging". When it is charged the LED goes off there is ia full battery symbol and a message "fully charged", I don't think the display has been well thought out.
