Score 10.0/10
Good points:
Ease of use, particularly for a novice who just likes to point and shoot. Lightness and small size (after handling other camcorders this was the only one for me), quality of images. Would definitely recommend this particularly as the price is coming down, I brought it when it was fairly new on the market so was fairly expensive. Although I've put some bad points, some of them are more to take into consideration with what you want to use the camcorder for - I wanted mine for a long trip where I was moving around every couple of days and having 2 cards (16GB Class 6 SDHC), a spare battery and DVD burner + blank DVDs worked well.
Bad points:
When pressing the "stop" button for recording it's easy to jerk the camcorder, however, once you are aware of this you can take extra care. Editing on the camcorder is only basic i.e cutting out parts of scenes or deleting whole scenes would have liked to do a little more editing on the camcorder, particularly if you're on holiday for a long time and don't have access to a PC . Price of cards, difficulty and price of buying a spare battery. Having to buy the separate DVD burner to burn recordings while on the move as it was uneconomic to buy more than a couple of cards. Being able to watch the DVDs on a compatible PC/TV/DVD - although you can do this via the DVD burner it's more fiddly

Good points:
Everything about it was exactly what we needed. It's small an light enough to fit in my handbag, the image quality is superb and sounds great too.
Bad points:
Not a great deal of warning for the battery running out or the SD card (but that could be human error!)
