Confirmed purchaser Film lover

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Verry Good picture quality, easy of use, and as with all Panasonic products it has a quality feel to it
Bad points:
If you use the VERIA link function with both the Blu-ray player and a Panasonic TV it causes the Blu-ray player to auto switch on every time you switch on the TV. This can be over come by switching off the VERIA link control and the fast start up option. With the fast start up option switched off it takes about 30 seconds to boot up fully. However this is not a problem and does not detract from a very good product

Manufacturer's Description

Blu-ray Disc Player with LAN connection & Wi-Fi ready

PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus is a high quality image-processing technology developed by Panasonic to precisely process each pixel of the Blu-ray DiscTM video signal in the vertical direction. It reproduces colour data with twice the accuracy of conventional systems to keep colours faithful and sharp.

Panasonic’s developed high precision 4:4:4 signal technology also processes each pixel of the Blu-ray Disc™ video signal in the horizontal direction to complement vertical direction processing. When viewed on a high end VIERA TV model, which features 4:4:4 signal compatibility, it recreates images with the original film quality to further enhance movie enjoyment.

The Blu-ray Disc™ players feature decoders that are compatible with all of the latest 7.1-channel surround sound formats used by the Blu-ray Disc™ standard.

The boot time from standby to power-on has been greatly reduced from prior models. With this improvement, movies can now be enjoyed with less stress by less waiting time. * Your TV Set must be ‘ON’. Ready in 0.5 sec from Power Off (with Quick Start Mode).

You can access YouTube™, Picasa™, and other Internet sites from the special VIERA CAST screen. Also DMP-BD65 is compatible with WiFi system. * Wireless LAN Adaptor is optional. The purchase of Wireless LAN Adaptor DY-WL10 is necessary. This function is not compatible with public Wireless LAN.
