Score 7.0/10
Good points:
It's got plenty of usb ports and the card readers are handy if you don't already have some. It's very fast.
Bad points:
I'm incensed with Drive E because it rejects most of the blank dvds that I put in. I shall probably be taking it back to the shop to be looked at. The mouse is annoying because although it's wireless it needs charging up constantly. It's easier to leave the mouse plugged into the usb port which defeats the object.

Confirmed purchaser Business user

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
Easy to set up - every thing was preloaded (you can make your own system restore DVD once set up). Fast processor. System runs brilliantly on 64-bit office 2010 suite (full version purchased separately and is certainly better than 2007 version) .
Brilliant value for money.
Bonus - came with wireless keyboard and mouse (inc rechargeable batteries in mouse).
Bad points:
No instructions with wireless keyboard and mouse. If you install upgraded office suite, the trial version is not deleted or overwritten.

Tom, Pencoed Music & entertainment fan

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Desktop PC - Loads of access points for USB sticks, memory cards and earphones all placed in ergonomic places around the console. Quiet and solidly built, this modem is easy to use even when placed on the floor. There is even a handy tray built into the top of the console, ideal for holding an mp3 player or camera while uploading. The PC is quick at starting up and quick at shutting down. Handles multiple functions with ease and stores a notable portion of information.

Mouse - Wireless with the option of recharging directly from the console (there is an power source point at the front of the mouse, basically turning into a traditional mouse when it needs some juice).

Keyboard - Very effective. Nothing fancy like touch-tech here, but sometimes you just want a traditional keyboard. Packard Bell have done well to realise that most customers want a product that works well, not always something that is gadget-ty or glitchy. Useful hotkey buttons such as calculator, back, forwards, my computer and e-mail as well as an easy to get to volume control are all present making calling up often-used tools easy as pie.
Bad points:
Desktop PC - While quiet, the fan is slightly audible. How much it bugs you depends on how sensitive you are to these things. Also, the wireless antenae is a bit naff. This is because it has a very short cable, poor signal quality compared to USB antennae on the market and a suction cup to hold it onto a surface which doesn't work. In terms of appearances, it lets the smooth sleek look of the rest of the set down. It kinda looks like an S&M nipple clamp to be honest. Not something that I want rolling around on my desk (because the suction cup doesn't actually work).

Mouse - Perhaps could have been better designed. While the recharging method is simple and effective, the shape of the mouse is disappointing. Personally, it would rather it had been a bit flatter with a more gripping texture on the surface. Reason I say this is because when I lay my hand on it, the mouse actually slides forwards due to having no grip and the sheer slope at the base (or palm section). Sorry if I haven't described that too well but I hope you understand what I mean. Also, rather uncomfortable on the wrist if used for prolonged periods. This is due once again to the slope at the back of the mouse but also the actual height of the mouse. The highest point of the mouse is about the height of a two pound coin. To get an idea what this is like, rest your arm on a flat surface and tilt your hand up while keeping your forearm on the table. Like I said, very uncomfortable after a while. The mouse size is perfect. Not too big, not too small, its just to high when it should be more squat.

Keyboard - Its a real shame that there are no lights at all on the keyboard. It is slightly annoying when you hit Caps by mistake and it doesn't tell you if its on or not. Also while the hotkeys are easily accessible, the volume controls located on the keyboard could be a bit better. Once again, this is an issue with grip. The volume control is a wheel, turn clockwise for loud, anticlockwise for quiet. It takes 3 turns to go from silent to maximum volume. The difficulty is that once again, the wheel is made of a smooth shiny plastic that slips under the finger. A rubber texturing on certain areas the keyboard and on the mouse would easily resolve this issue.

The good news is of couse that both mouse and keyboard can be changed with relatively minimal cost. Its just a shame because with a little more attention to detail such as grips and a slightly squatter mouse.
