Good points:
Hybrid laptop and tablet - best of both worlds and is really worth it. The tablet function is really good for watching films on the train or browsing the web on the sofa. The touch screen is responsive and requires only the lightest of touches. The touchscreen resolution does not feel adequate however - it is too easy to repeatedly miss small elements. I may have to purchase a pen for the screen. The screen is very bright - a comfortable indoor setting is at just 1/3 of full brightness. It also is fitted with an accelerometer so the screen automatically reorientates itself when you turn the tablet around to portrait. The size is the perfect compromise between the power of larger laptops and the portability of netbooks and I'd certainly recommend it over any 15" laptop if you ever want to actually take your laptop anywhere. It may lack a DVD drive, but in this world of iPlayer, Spotify and online software, you're unlikely to miss it. (External USB drives can be bought for next to nothing otherwise.) Battery life is stunning - 6-8 hours is typical during non-intensive tasks. The touchpad supports multitouch, and the included software supports a huge range of gestures. The keyboard is very easy to type on, with very shallow feedback. Includes 3 USB ports and an adequate webcam. Built in speakers are very good for a laptop, and unlike my last laptop, they are actually loud and clear enough to be usable. The performance is good - despite being a 1.2GHz celeron, it feels faster than the superior 1.6GHz Pentium it replaced.
Bad points:
Aside from those mentioned above, the hinge does feel a little flimsy, but I don't see this being a problem as long as you aren't too rough with it. The headphone socket provides good quality sound when connected to speakers, but when connected to headphones at low volume, there is an unacceptable amount of background noise (although you could overcome this with high impedance headphones). The keyboard comes with a full size enter key and right shift key (a good thing - this is rare on smaller keyboards) but the arrow keys are too small and I keep hitting the wrong ones. The computer tantalisingly has a power light for the bluetooth, but no bluetooth chip inside :( Includes lots of bloatware - the first thing you should be doing upon purchase is to uninstall the touch portal and the various free trials.

Overall, this is not an expensive laptop so I am more than happy to forgive it for its minor faults. Highly recommended.

Good points:
feels good and sturdy for a netbook, looks very smart. ... touch screen works well and responsive once you have got used to it and it is calibrated to your touch. took quite a while to download and install adobe flash player for some reason, but works good. just need to work out how to make the screen resolution fit the screen. being used for a person with aphasia and limited mobility, as a touch screen is useful in this case, seems a good choice so far, though possibly slightly bigger screen would be good for our purposes.
