Confirmed purchase: 26 Feb 2012

Chris, Derby

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Nice moderate weight, but strongly enough engineered to give me confidence that it won't let my expensive piece of kit, the actual projector, come crashing to the ground. Plenty of parts provided to allow for any configuration of mounting sockets to be accommodated. Good enough quality of build for a good price - very good value for money.
Bad points:
I did think that fitting an Optoma projector to an Optoma mounting would be more straightforward - ie that there would be an easy selection of holes on the mount to marry up to the sockets on the projector. I had to be fairly creative with the parts, but it was easy enough to do, and it is sound.
We have also been surprised at the amount of noise which the mount transmits up to the room above. Presumably this is an indication of how sound and firm the actual mount is, but it seems to me that a relatively cheap and simple rubber gasket would absorb most of this vibration and eliminate the problem.
