Richard, Surrey Spoken-word listener

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Provides a wide choice of DAB channels, including local channels not available via satellite, plus the ability to receive DAB+ broadcasts in the future. With my Onkyo TX-SR607 receiver, the module can be used to play radio through the Zone 2 speakers while the main 5.1 set is playing some other source; it isn't possible to do this with the receiver's built-in FM tuner. The module can be conveniently hidden out of sight.
Bad points:
1. While basic operation is logical and reasonably straightforward, the sheer number of buttons on the receiver and the remote control may be daunting for some users. And pressing the Port button to get DAB is not intuitively obvious.
2. DAB reception information (station name, frequency, audio bit rate etc.) can be viewed on both the receiver and the attached TV by pressing the Display button to step through it -- with the single exception of the information you's want to refer to the most often, the radiotext programme description. This scrolls slowly across the receiver display while the TV screen remains blank. It would be much more useful if all this information could be viewed at a glance on the TV.

Fred, Stotfold Music fan

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
Extremely easy to connect. Very well made. Great value for money when compared to other DAB tuners on the market. Neat, compact build. Because of the area in which I live (N Herts), the original aerial gave me no reception at all. I therefore extended the aerial using co-ax cable. I now receive excellent, crystal clear and interference-free signals from the 18 stations available to me.
Bad points:
No bad points.
