Good points:
The camera was bought as a first digital camera for my parents and they have thoroughly enjoyed it. They have found it straightforward to use and were taking pictures almost immediately. For their needs ie pics of grandchildren and pets etc the picture quality is very good.

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Good design and compact design which is easily carried in the pocket. Excellent sized screen for viewing after shooting. Easy Scene management which allows you quickly to select the appropriate automatic setting very quickly. Good level of optical zoom (5x), which is more than most 8mp camera I have looked at. Battery life is good so far and replacement batteries are not expensive.
Bad points:
Occasional night time photographs are not quite as good, but mainly only when utilising the flash.

Score 3.0/10
Good points:
I've used several Olympus cameras in the past (work camera), and so I'm familiar with the menu and layout. Easy to use in this respect. Camera is a good size and not too weighty. LCD display is easy to use and a good size.
Bad points:
I have to use Olympus cameras as part of my work, because our company use Camedia and will not support any other camera type. Unfortunately, this camera is terrible, and if I could, I would use another brand at the drop of a hat. Long delay between pressing the button and the picture being taken. Most of my photos turn out blurred, despite half-pressing the button to engage the auto-focus before taking a photo (as recommended). Blueish halo-effect around buildings, where they meet sky. Overall, extremely disappointing, as I like to take many photos of the places I've visited and more often than not, the photographs are poor. This camera appears to produce the same results as the 3 previous digital Olympus models I've used.
