At just under 1cm thick (9mm), the Lumia 720 is Nokia’s sleekest Windows phone yet. Its elegant, uni-body design weighs just 128g. A dual-core 1GHz Qualcomn processor and 512MB of RAM powers the Windows 8 operating system.
Features from the Nokia Lumia 920 trickle into the 720’s display. The 4.3 inch screen has a 217 pixel density and, like the 920, its super sensitive. This means you can use the screen even with gloves on or long nails. Nokia’s ClearBlack tech is also present which reduces glare in sunlight. To top it off, it’s layered with Corning Gorilla Glass 2.
The Lumia 720 benefits from Nokia’s excellent Carl Zeiss optics. The front facing HD (720p, 1.3MP) camera is great for self-portraits or Skype chats thanks to its wide angle lens – you can squeeze more people into the shot. A 6.1MP camera is on the back with a wide aperture (f/1.9) so you can capture the moment even in low light. Look at your best with Glam Me, this allows you to enhance photos by adding filters, whitening teeth and even tanning skin.
The Lumia 720 has an excellent battery. It gives up to 13 hours 20 minutes talk time with 3G calls (Apple iPhone 5 lasts 8 hours). Plus, with a charging cover you can charge the battery wirelessly.
