Good points:
Windows 8 makes it perfect for windows users and all apps (office, one drive, one note etc free). A phone and a tablet at the same time with a size that is perfect for spectacle users. With plenty of memory ( 64 giga mini sd card plus 32 native) , a fully functioning GPS system and an excellent camera this gadget is an unrivaled deal.
Bad points:
I would like a stylus and I wish the culture of non-exchangeable battery was never adopted by Nokia

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
It's simply a great phone.

I bought this phone SIM-free, and that sharpens the selection senses. When it's your own money, and you intend keeping the phone for some time, you need to be sure you are making the right choice. And choosing a Nokia is really all about choosing Windows Phone as much as the kit.

And the kit is excellent. Beautifully made - peerless, frankly. The spec is top-drawer; not the very latest maybe, but certainly nothing lacking.

Buttery-smooth, quick start-ups, seemingly endless power for multiple open apps.

Stunning screen...

But let's face that elephant in the room. It's a Windows Phone.

Windows Phone is on a journey. I've used WP for around a year now, but I'm unsentimental about OS. Like many tech-junkies, I've tried all four over extended periods - Blackberry to iPhone to Android and lastly WP.

With each jump, I feel I have 'stepped-up'. With the possible exception of the move from Android to WP.

I first took on a Nokia Lumia 920 with WP 8. And it was a bit of a clunky system - the frequently wailed-about lack of apps isn't an issue. Really. Whose cares if you can't get 100 poor versions of some knock-off app.

The bigger issue was a feeling of claustrophobia - not being able to do what you wanted, the way you wanted. No notifications. Everything painfully 'square'. Man...

But WP 8.1 moved things on dramatically. So much so that I now find Android annoyingly ill defined. (I've written off IOS, for me...).

So when it came to choosing the Nokia Lumia 1520, I didn't for one second think "it's great; but what if it was an Android phone?" Which a year ago, I probably would have.

Instead, I thought "it's great. Thank goodness it's a Windows Phone!"

In summary: A great phone and super to use (you'll get used to the size!)
Bad points:
You have to get used to the size of the thing - it's a huge phone and if you are choosing it, you know that already; but its still takes a few days acclimatise. Or grow a bigger hand!

Having said that, once you have adopted the six-inch screen, everything else looks too small to be useful.

The screen, battery life, colourful tiles!
Bad points:
Not as customize as Samsung galaxies! Apps limited but who needs all apps anyway! No options for keyboard! It would be nice if Microsoft give more options for keyboard such as swiftkey!
