NISSIN MF18 Macro Ring Flash for Canon
The Nissin MF18 macro flash is a powerful Guide Number 16 (at ISO 100) flash that offers superb controllability with the added bonus of being a trigger unit for other slave flashes.
This Canon version is both E-TTL and E-TTL II compatible and works fully with their EOS digital SLR cameras. It can also be used in Wireless TTL mode as a master unit with +/-3.0EV compensation to fire compatible slave flashes, either compatible Speedlites ir independent dedicated units.
Fine Macro mode
This mode sets this flash apart from so many of its competitors. Power is adjustable from 1/128 to 1/1024 of full power in 1/6EV steps for absolute accuracy. In manual mode the power can be adjusted from full to 1/64 power in 1/3EV steps.
For customisation of the light source there are two flash tubes for uniform illumination and the two tubes can have different power settings according to the desired illumination pattern. There is a modelling lamp mode with four LED lights and adjustable power ratios between left and right sections to give an accurate preview of lighting balance.
Great Lens Adaptability
The Nissin MF18 is designed to fit onto lenses of between 49mm and 82mm focal length. The flash head is expandable to suit filter diameters between 49mm and 82mm without unsightly vignetting. Adapter rings for 52mm, 58mm, 62mm, 72mm and 77mm are supplied (49mm, 55mm and 82mm available separately).
