some of the car mounting straps sit over the speakers - can be left undone but the units are less secure.

Jennifer,

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Great value. Battery life good. Kept two small children entertained for many hours in the car and handy to use while on holiday out of the car. Light and easy to carry and came with both UK and European plugs. Great that you can charge in car or in the house.
Bad points:
Didn't fit brilliantly well to our head rests, the mount was a bit wide and if the mount was too tight the DVD would not play. Not very easy to operate from the front seat using the remote. A carry case would be useful.

Good points:
Early days, but does exactly what it supposed to.
Bad points:
The head rest restraint design could do with some modification to make the loading/unloading of disks easier - especially for young people!

John, Peterborough Home cinema enthusiast

Score 7.0/10
Good points:
Multiple inputs (USB and especially SD card) make this a great unit.
To be honest I have put most of my kids movies onto SD card (I have about 8 movies per SD Card), and very rarely use the DVD players.
Single 3.5mm plug for audio & video makes the units easy to connect together.
Good picture quality.
Bad points:
Sound (or lack of it!) is a major disappointment. They're nowhere near loud enough for even the quietest car journey. It doesn't help that the fixing straps cover the speaker grills, but even without this the speakers are just not up to the job.
The design of the fixing method is also not that clever, not only is it a pain to remove the units from the headrest 'mount', they never seem like a good tight fit once they're actually in place on the headrest itself,
One final point; when connecting the units together and using both screens to play one movie, the only way you can achieve this is by using the remote (there's no button on the units themselves to do this, so don't lose the remote!!)

Score 5.0/10
Good points:
Nice design and solid construction
Bad points:
Really quiet. Couldn't hear a thing once the car was moving and the sound via the ear phones was no better. Complicated Velcro straps to fasten to head rest which meant you couldn't change the disk without partially undoing.

Good points:
Great idea with a good picture and sound.
Bad points:
Does not hold charge. Putting DVD in when set up on the back of the car seats is very difficult and make it not worth having.
