Probably an unfair review.
I only bought Windows to run my accounts program on a MAC, so rarely use the windows aspect.
I find 8.1 not very user friendly, but then I'm not using it much so not getting to know my way around it. I much prefer the MAC system

David, St annes on Sea Highly experienced computer user

Score 7.0/10
Good points:
Very quick start up once you have sorted out how to get a decent desktop page similar to Windows 7. Works very well with the touch screen. Ok when you have found your way around. Some changes are for 'changes sake'. A good price for this version from this retailer.
Bad points:
Not easy to set up. Very frustrating and difficult to find installed programmes(not apps) from the desktop. Ok for Apps from the touch screen. It's a 'must' to pin them to the taskbar.Do your homework if you want to set up without having to log in to the Microsoft account each time it starts or each time you wish to do anything. Needs constant updates like any Windows OS.
