Score 9.0/10
Good points:
The scroll function with haptic feedback is hilarious, and actually works surprisingly well. Bought one back in January and now its September and I haven't had to change the batteries yet. Range is unnecessarily long - my son took it to show someone the scroll function at the other end of the house, maybe 15m away, and my document was leaping about on screen.
Bad points:
Like any Bluetooth product, there is a delay of a few seconds after you switch it on before it connects. Otherwise flawless.

Tim, Swansea Digital developer

Score 3.0/10
Good points:
Good size, weight.
Bad points:
You have to install extra software to program the mouse.
Mouse movement is jerky and inconsistent, particularly when changing direction (both the mouse and laptop are on the same desk and wireless is disabled, so this isn't a range/interference issue).
Also, the touch scroll area is not sensitive enough. A lot of the time I swipe the touch area to scroll and nothing happens.
Also, if you're expecting scrolling to be smooth like that of the Apple touch mouse, you'll be disappointed. In fact it feels less fine that a wheel mouse. The touch area clicks when you have swiped a certain distance. That click represents a large jump on the screen. The clicks feel too far apart. This essentially renders the touch strip pointless. Synaptics has achieved smooth scrolling with their touch pads, Logitech has with their nano-scroll mice - but Microsoft haven't with this mouse, even on their own operating system.
