Tim, Harpenden

Score 7.0/10
Good points:
apple-esque design & packaging
sturdy construction
Bad points:
touch actions take some adjusting too
separate left and right buttons would be huge advantage - this has one button and relies on tocuh sensors to determine if left or right click.

Sol,

Score 2.0/10
Good points:
The packaging (!) is quite nice.
Bad points:
The scrolling is horrible - I just cannot get used to it. Sometimes it scrolls as I expect it to, and sometimes, it skips a few lines more than I would like. The lack of a middle-click is a deal-breaker for me (although, there is "Touch Mouse Mate", which can add it back, but it didn't work for me).

Also, the way i use a mouse, i always have my finger resting on the left-mouse button - but for the right-mouse button to work, you MUST lift your forefinger, and then click the right-mouse button. Just feels very awkward for me.

The mouse is very small for my hand - I got cramp after using it for about 15 minutes. I don't *think* i have massive hands....

The finger gestures are cool, but needs time to get used to them. And I am not sure how long I could comfortably and constantly swipe over plastic. I swipe all over the place on the glass screen of my mobile, and trackpads on a laptop are smoother than the back of this mouse too. Also, I found it very uncomfortable to swipe three fingers towards my wrist, when trying to do a three-finger swipe. Try it on the back of your mouse - I had to lift my whole hand up for it to work consistently.

Also, I couldn't find the much-vaunted Windows8 drivers anywhere - all the links seem to be broken.

This is all just my experience, and YMMV, but I hope this helps anyone who was thinking about buying one of these. It is a really well made, and it should be good for some people. I really wanted to like it, but couldn't get on with it.

Score 3.0/10
Good points:
feels ok. nice place to put the usb connector into on the underside of the mouse
Bad points:
microsofts software is awful and the gestures can't be customised. logitechs software is better.

also, the buttons take a lot of force to press and pinch your thumb when you do.

Score 7.0/10
Good points:
Works really well with Windows 8 - makes using it on a non-touchscreen laptop a breeze.
So simple to set up and connects flawlessly, non true of my old bluetooth mouse.
Very handsome design.
Bad points:
Perhaps not the most perfect ergonomics, but that comes from being an ambidextrous design.
Gestures aren't quite as flawless as I would like, sometimes aren't registered.
