Some customer reviews of Makita 18v Cordless Hammer Drill

Most helpful reviews

David, Surrey Retired tradesman

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Very good value for an 18v hammer drill. Really nice, sensitive trigger for good speed control. Fast (1 hour) charging is a boon too. Chuck holds round shank drills well at the moment - we will see how eventual wear affects things. The torque control, when in driver mode, could be a bit stronger at the high end and comes into action when I would prefer to 'feel' how tight a screw is. Overall, a lovely drill to use and it has to be tremendous value at this price.
Bad points:
Hardly any. I would struggle to find any. The torque settings would be my only grumble.

David, Reading, Berkshire Occasional DIYer.

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
A bit early yet but masonry drilling is good unlike previous one (not Makita).
Bad points:
A little clip to secure the screwdriver bit on the drill would have been useful.
