Confirmed purchaser Scientist mum of boys

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
We bought the iCoaster marble run for my nearly six year old for Christmas. It's brilliant and he loves it. Some of the designs are quite complicated and need adult help to point him in the right direction, but the joints between sections are easy enough for him to do, and also sturdy. Very educational but great fun too and he can work out how to construct tracks that give the marble enough momentum to do the jumps and when it needs to be slower so that it doesn't over run on corners etc.
Bad points:
We haven't worked out yet how to connect the iPod to it though as we were expecting a USB socket but instead the iPod jack looks like a headphone socket. Probably just a question of getting the right cable, but not insurmountable. Also, the trampoline piece has a thin membrane that was poked through by a younger sibling within hours and I'm not sure we can get a replacement.

Charlotte, Lymington

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Reasonably easy to put together by an adult or older child. My son in just 6 and he got the idea pretty quickly but couldn't do it on its own. It is excellent fun and completely hypnotic to watch. A bargain when I bought it but that was considerably cheaper than the rrp.
Bad points:
Bit wobbly . Knocks over easily. WOuld be best on a table top or hard floor. You need space!

Confirmed purchaser Mother of one child

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Flexible - in that it can have various permutations. The construction process is enough of a challenge without being too difficult. It is reminiscent of old fashion style toys where you erect the item and make it go and no violence is involved! It's great if you have one child or it does accommodates several children playing with it. It's not a contest - there's no winning involved, just pure entertainment.
Bad points:
I don't think there are any really bad points only a couple of minor downpoints.
After it has been put together there's not that much to be done, apart from placing the steel marbles in various locations and watching them progress through the course, though the optional music does give it a bit of a buzz.
If you wish to move it around you have to do this in sections otherwise it has to stay put.
