Good points:
The touch system does exactly what it's supposed to. For a small unit, the sound is surprisingly good, with decent bass. Also very easy to use with iPod/mp3, simply use the aux in socket.
Bad points:
Having only 10 presets for the DAB is a bit restricting. But that is a tiny gripe really.

Bad points:
Radio would not stay on, kept switching itself off after 15 - 20 minutes. It also would change ststions on its own. Setting ststions was difficult, they would not set when you wanted them to. Battery life was supposed to be 5 hours, I was getting 2 - 3 at best with good quality batteries.

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
light weight (with no batteries!), easy to clean, very portable around the house when i'm doing house work in different rooms. although i've not tried it - i like that i can plug in an mp3 if needed - so i can listen to my other music - not just the radio.
Bad points:
doesn't get every radio station i might like, but i think that depends on where you live, also reception is better in some parts of the house than others, the external aerial helps!

Good points:
Nice style, good reception and clear sound
Bad points:
Touch sensitive controls do not work well

Switch on OK. Switch off is a nightmare and may take several attempts, then several seconds later radio turns itself on again becuase touch sensitive off control is faulty by design

Goods returned.

Darren, Bury Gadget lover

Score 2.0/10
Good points:
The touch panel did not work properly, worked on some buttons, others took time to work, some did not work at all. The radio had a mind of its own and was completely defective, reception poor as well for DAB but there is a risk with DAB.

I sent it back and replaced with a Tesco own brand DAB which works fine and operates as a radio should.

The Magic Box radio was possibly the worst, defective piece of electronics I have purchased in my life. I have a passion for electronics and gadgets and generally products work and last for years. Too tempremental for a radio, almost cybernetic with a mind of its own.
