George, Ashford Nearly an OAP

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Because it is abmidextrous my elder sister can choose to use it with whichever hand does not have the tremours today. Another left handed sister likes it also.
We all like being able to position the pointer and then let go of the ball. You can then click without skidding or getting the "No Entry" sign. (or dragging and dropping unintentionally)
Because it is static on the desk there is not a problem having a wire connecting it to the computer which means you don't need any batteries or charging arrangements. I don't understand the need for a cordless trackball.
Bad points:
Scrolling is generally unsatisfactory. The ball itself becomes the scroll wheel at the click of a button. Works fine on some pages, is uncontrollable on others and does not work at all on Google Earth. Other models by the same manufacturer have a dedicated scroll wheel but are only made for right handed people.
There is no general feedback facility on the website otherwise I would have written all this on there a week ago. You can't ask about other models since they need the serial number??? as well as other stuff.
You need to persist for a while since it is unfamiliar at first. Does that comment belong in the good or bad points box?

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Good, smooth trackball movement. Excellent precision. Good ergonomics if you have a gel wrist rest.
Bad points:
Only able to customise buttons to a point. Wanted to customise small buttons to "scroll up" and "scroll down" and had to settle for right small button as "autoscroll".
