Good points:
I have a very bright front room with white walls was worried the tv might turn out to be a big mirror, it's not. Hd is superb standard tv is also very very good though i sit some 12 feet from the tv. Despite it's incredible thin body the sound from the speakers is good for watching everyday tv. Playing games on the tv is great and watching f1 recently was looking through a window at the course. 2 remote controls is a nice touch.
Bad points:
not enough HD channels available yet to take advantage of. If you have a small room this tv will look ridiculous and pixelation may show up if your sitting within 6 feet of the tv. Jelous neighbours, family etc.

Good points:
Picture is fabulous, very crisp especially with HD but even standard def. is very good better than our older but much more expensive Hitachi plasma. No hint of any image retention issues. Sound is clear, not very bassy but very clear and listen-able, very good considering the speakers are hidden from view. Stand looked pretty, even if we've never used it (used a slimline wall mounting). Plasma is much better than LED, we have a couple of each and plasma wins hands down. The screens are glossier, which is bad but the picture, especially for sport and films is much better and the blacks are blacker and just have more depth. Go for the 60" - you know you want to, has the same wow factor as a 42" had 5 years ago, and it makes proper use of HD.
Bad points:
Screen is glossy (but beautiful) and so is reflective so it needs to be positioned correctly. LG logo is too prominent, wish it could be removed, I know what make it is and I don't need reminding thanks. Not sure if there is an off switch, have only found standby, makes a fairly profound click so think it is mostly off but I'd rather know it was properly off, but there is no obvious way of doing it. The button-less buttons on the front are nice in theory but soon collect fingerprints and are quite imprecise, luckily they are rarely used. Also rather there was not the writing for these. simple buttons on the bottom with no writing visible would be much better. Sockets go straight out of the back for reasons which are best left to LG, surely they must know that 90% of these screens will be wall mounted and therefore the sockets need to face down or sideways. I managed to fit the cables in but they are pretty stressed.
