Score 7.0/10
Good points:
Picture in 4K and full hd are stunning and the design of the tv is great, the bezel is very thin although I normally prefer a black bezel the silver with black looks great.

The tv is about as future proof as you can get with Dolby vision, HDR and inbuilt apps.

The software web OS 3.0 is nice and easy to use although the tv seems to want to default to my sky hdmi input when you turn it on rather than what you were last watching (or maybe I just watch sky all the time!) and the ability to control sky with the tv remote is a good feature.

My living room is small to average size and the sound from the tv is suitable for our use.
Bad points:
Unfortunately the picture at times lets the tv down.

As I said in the positives the picture can produce a fantastic picture, however, the programmes I have watched in Dolby vision and HDR on Netflix weren't stunning. HDR is meant to be the next big thing in TVs and unfortunately the LG can't get bright enough to prove this.

The tv also suffers from banding, particularly noticeable in sports but also with large camera movements.

My biggest complaint however is the edge lighting, it's poor. If you watch the end credits to a film the two sides a black (the blacks are better than I thought they would be given it's an IPS panel) but in the centre where the credits are the picture is grey. It's hard to explain but the whole panel lights up, it's not a major inconvenience during credits but it is dunking dark programmes. Watching daredevil on Netflix in the dark was very frustrating as it's a dark programme any time there's is light in the picture a whole panel of backlights lights up and makes the picture at that part lighter.

Good points:
The picture quality and sound are fantastic and much better than the demonstration given in the store - don't be put off by what the sales person says the TV is absolutely great. The LG Web OS is the easiest on the market by far - nothing complicated at all

David, Gorleston Multi-purpose viewer

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Stunning picture quality on 4k and 1080 as well. BBC via Virgin shows much more detail than the 3 year old Panasonic 1080 it replaced. Native apps for Amazon and Netflix work well and give some 4k content. 3d is amazing but streaming content rare, Youtube providing some good stuff, but not going to be used very often.
Bad points:
Making the magic remote operate other devices properly is a bit long winded.
