- Good points:
Good picture for the price. Can't really comment on the sound as I put the output through a seperate 5.1 system.
I went for the plasma as the room it is in is a dark room with poor sunlight, I wouldn't go for this TV if your room is bright or you have thin curtains. If you have a dark room then I would go for a plasma over an LED screen.
The TV quickly found the house Wi-Fi and entering the password, though strange at first with the pointer control, was easily done. The TV also needs to update as soon as it finds itself online.
Connecting other equipment like the blueray player, Sky box, Wii and HDD recorder is a simple process-though you need to press the 'setup' button on the remote and select which input you want, which leads to a bit of humerous arm waving as you guide the pointer across the screen.
This TV also has good peripheral veiwing angles.
- Bad points:
The TV interferes with old Sky digi boxes in that only part of the handset (Sky) controls work. Found out the reason for the Sky handset problem only after looking online (interference from some TV's knocks out the remote signal), seems to be a fairly common problem. Ferrite cores do come with the TV, but they don't seem to make much,if any, difference when they were fitted.
The TV also switches itself off after 4 hours unless you press a button- So if you plan to have the TV on as a background (ie music channel or you plan to leave it on during the day while you are at work because you have dogs or something) then that could be an issue. There might be an over-ride somewhere, but I've not found it yet.
