Kelvin, Cambridge Often on the move

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
- Very lightweight
- Good battery life (about 4h on highest performance and full brightness, probably much longer if I lower the performance and brightness) compared to laptops of similar prices
- Sleek design
- Relatively high-res screen - 1600 x 900, compared to mostly 1366 x 768 screens for laptops of similar prices; I just switched from a 15'6" screen, and this 14' screen actually doesn't feel any smaller
- Exceptional value for money
Bad points:
- Tiny gaps around keys on the keyboard and around the touchpad prone to dust accumulation
- Key presses are somewhat shallow, although probably unavoidable due to thinness of laptop
- I would happily pay a bit more for a 1TB hard drive

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Perfect design, size.
Battery lasts for hours - very convenient.
Quite laptop.
LAN connector very useful in my case.
Sound good- not quiet at all as I read somewhere - usually watching movies with 50% volume as it's enough.
256 SSD works very fast.
Bad points:
Screen way too glossy - had to order anti-reflex protector which solved my problem - now I love it!
Maybe a bit heavier than other ultrabooks but I don't mind at all as I love the design.

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Sleek and premium feeling. Excellent hardware for the price. Fast and responsive. Keyboard is delightful to use. Everything is mostly superb.
Bad points:
Screen is disappointingly dim, even at full brightness. Almost not an option to use it at much less than full.
Two more minor negatives: lack of CD drive (but you'd be hard pressed to find a similar laptop with one). I've yet to get the advertised battery life out of it (but I do tend to use a lot of fairly intensive programs at once).

Fast Processing
With the power of a fourth generation Intel Core i7 processor, the Lenovo U430 will be able to tackle anything from basic tasks to the more advanced with speed and responsiveness. This dual-core processor can boost it’s speed up to 3.1GHz to keep things running smoothly when taking on more intensive tasks.

Fourth generation Intel processors are less power hungry than previous generations, providing a longer battery life, while they also include built-in security to help keep your personal details safe.

Breathtaking graphics from NVIDIA
An NVIDIA GeForce GT 730M graphics card with 2GB of dedicated memory gives the U430 a visual boost that will help you get the best out of photo and video editing software and 3D games.

Perfect for on-the-go computing

With a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels, the display on the U430 is Full HD, delivering crisp visuals with incredible details. It also includes an integrated multi-touch panel, which will allow you to get hands on with your computer and provide more innovative ways of interacting with your apps.

Motion Controls
The HD webcam on the U430 can be used as an input device thanks to Lenovo’s Motion Control software. Motion Control will let you effortlessly flips pages, rewind & fast-forward music, change the volume and more with simple gestures- so you won’t even have to touch your computer to take control.
