Score 6.0/10
Good points:
The laptop itself is lovely, really nice looking, functions well.
Bad points:
If you like your operating system user friendly and uncomplicated I wouldn't recommend anything with windows 8. I'm pretty good with computers and don't find new versions of programmes and such faze me much but windows 8 is ridiculous. It took me hours just to find the control panel and I still haven't figured out how its supposed to be turned off without a start button (I gave up looking and just changed the settings so that I can use the power button as a shutdown). The trackpad is quite different from what I was used to but with a bit of tweaking (once i'd found the control panel) I managed to change it's settings. I'm hoping I'll get used to it and figure out how to change the many settings that irritate me but for now I kind of regret buying it (Windows 8's fault not the laptops though)

Rob, Beverley General home user

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Plenty of USB points. Fast. Windows 8 is the way to go; investing in a very cheap Kindle book, 100 Windows 8 Tips, soon got me started. It only took me a few minutes to take my daughter through the essentials.
Bad points:
Windows 8 is very confusing to begin with but see above.

Score 1.0/10
Good points:
Style, size and weight.
Bad points:
Random shut down and driver_power_state_failure issues have meant a replacement, 2 x system restores and now a repair which will take 2+ weeks. I have only had the laptop for 2 months.
