Good points:
Santa bought this for my daughter for xmas, she is 9 and has had no problems with it whatsoever. I would recommend this laptop purely for the value.
Bad points:
On one occasion on startup I was prompted to revert back to the default setup as there was supposedly a problem. I did not want to do this as I had not backed up Windows. Having read a previous review this has happened on occasions and people have lost their data as they have clicked to load back to the restore point. I would advise not to do this, as an option to reboot as normal is available. I simply rebooted and everything was fine. Luckily my 9 year old was not click happy and so checked with me first!!!! Other than that we've had no problems.

Score 3.0/10
Good points:
good sized memory, speed, screen size; good connections to external devices - tv, 3 USBs, etc.. everything it says on the box; windows 7 is good; software including does not interest me, but looks like it could be useful and does not get in the way of everyday use.
Bad points:
The mouse pad cannot be re-configured and gets in the way when typing. The more useful software (MS office and virus protection) is only temporary and must be bought within a few months (this is explained on the description). Unfortunately, my laptop has broken down a couple of months after purchase, so I do not rate it highly.

Good points:
Looks good and is robust.Like the screen and perfomance.
Bad points:
Had a nasty virus that messed up Windows7 - still not sure about this operating system.hard to beat XP and it's flexibility to fix and recover files/programs.
Tried the last resort one button recovery but not sure it really did anything.

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Solid reliable general purpose machine with a good battery life, good keyboard, a bright clear screen, and Direct3D 9 and 10 hardware accelerated graphics (albeit limited speed).
Bad points:
1) The Ctrl and Fn keys are reversed on the keyboard. When using both this laptop and a desktop, this is a real nuisance.

2) The touchpad is not as precise as it needs to be for this screen resolution. (The touchpad on my HP laptop is much more precise).
