Score 6.0/10
Good points:
Sturdy and well made small computer, bought to replace a larger laptop that died after 3 years daily use. Novelty of touch sensitive screen appealed when choosing a model and reviews gave thumbs up to good keyboard with which I agree. Took quite a while to set up my preferred programmes as built-in software prevented every download. Learned how to get round this. Also struggled with text size (due to bad eyesight with age) and eventually found a route round this. So now I think we will become good friends and I'll have a useful portable notebook for my writing and surfing.
Bad points:
Microsoft Windows 8 very hard to use when i've been used to responsive and flexible Win 98 and XP. Can't get on with the app page thingies so reinstated start bar and a lot happier with this. Its an age thing! Battery life is short and it seems difficult to control the screen brightness - too light for me. McAfee was persistent in stopping me loading my preferred open source word processors. McAfee also difficult to remove through usual windows uninstall route. I prefer other virus and firewall protectors so eventually got these loaded. I'm retired so have time to mess about but it almost reached the point of putting me off the Lenovo flex 10 when I couldn't set it up with my preferred programmes and document files in the first five days. We're on a much better working arrangement now that I have it set up as I wanted.

Good points:
Size.
Bad points:
Tragic Win 8.1 op system. 1000 meg downloads for system updates. Touch pad not very good. Battery life maybe two hours. Close the lid at night and in the morning the battery is flat - so much for hibernation. Processing capacity is s-s-l-l-o-o-w-w; press a key and have a cup of tea whilst waiting for something to happen. (No network connection and only two usb ports - but I knew this in advance).

I have not been able to use it effectively. Messages of risks constantly coming up. I have McAfee Livesafe which reflect that it is active. So what is the problem? Just on it now and series of such messages have been coming.
