Good points:
Awesome set really. Possibly the best value one around. Just building the ATST is fun enough (done it 3 times now) - really a very good model with a LOT of thought put into its design - not only does it fit with minifig scale but also looks the part stands up easilly AND has mechanical legs. Really there's so much in this set you will get many hours of construction time out of it. If its for kids its a good one cause it has many minifigs and models/parts for more than one kid to play with together.
Bad points:
Was surprised by the in box presentation as when I was a kid lego sets tended to have moulded plastic sometimes but now literally this is a box with bags. Quite handy though as the bags are numbered and referred to in the instructions so makes the build a little easier as you cut down the number of parts you have to look through to spot that tiny piece you can't find.

Only other bad is that there are no "alternative" builds but a fun idea is to see how much you can "augment" the ATST to turn it into your personal uber mech!
