Good points:
Desktop candy, beautiful to look at. Massive storage and plenty of uses. File server, FTP, iTunes streamer, use the cloud options and get your files world wide! Ideal beginners NAS. Enjoy..
Bad points:
Not as easy as first thought to set up. ideally some networking and server knowledge would be handy. Only 1 HDD, ideally NAS would come with 2 HDD set at RAID 1 for ultimate backup.

this unit is supposed to be a 'plug n play' but i have had this for a few days now and i still won't work from basic USB to laptop which means i have to upload through the wireless and this is taking a long time,
the manual states the hard drive is also split into 2 and the max you can have for the USB side is 500gb which for me is to small as the idea was to fill this unit with my movies and play them through my dvd player or digital HD box and not playing videos using the wireless ,

even though it has USB & Ethernet but they cannot be used at the same time as soon as you used the usb it cuts out the ethernet

i will give it a week to see if i can sort it out or it will be going back for a refund

Good points:
looks lovely, good value for memory size, when it works it works well
Bad points:
Doesn't seem to like my BT vision box,
switches off at random, disrupts wi-fi, trying to run a regular back-up not working as pc can't find the NAS drive unless I manually switch the box on and off, "wake up device" feature doesn't work, instruction manual is poor (doesn't always relate to the product / software supplied).

Good points:
The reason I've given such a low rating is because I have not been able to set up the product until now. I don't know why my PC is not reading it when I plug it in via the correct usb. I am trying to use today via Internet but I have not got a clue why my PC is still not able to access it. The instructions that came in the box are useless. I need to spend time reading the full instructions on the Internet manual. It says not to plug in both usb and the Internet cable at the same time, I can understand this but where is the connection to my PC when the product is plugged into the Ethernet - the instructions don't seem to say.
Bad points:
I do not think much of the quick guide to setting up that comes with the product - for someone like me the guide is absolutely useless.
