John, Stockport Experienced amateur photographer

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Auto iTTL works well for general photographs and as balanced flash fill in.
Reasonable power and good range of manual settings.
Battery life appears good and easy replace AA cells used.
Remote flash fires reliably and from a good distance.
Very low price compared to camera manufacturers equivalent units.
Bad points:
Construction quality only average with buttons very loose and difficult to operate. Some button functions seem a bit intermittent in operation.
Exposure can be a bit off in certain challenging circumstances.
Remote sensor only on front of unit, none on rear, can be a problem if you need the remote gun facing away from camera outdoors.
All these criticisms need to be considered in the light that this unit is currently less than a QUARTER the price of the equivalent camera manufacturers model.

Joshua,

Score 7.0/10
Good points:
Once I had it set up with my nikon d5000 it was great - seems to change the photo and makes it look more professional
Bad points:
Quite hard to set up at first. All images were coming out overexposed, once I tweaked all the manual settings though, it was ok. Doesn't always work so well when your cameras set to auto mode.
Also it eats through batteries fairly quickly, compared with my nikon SB400, however thats to be expected with it flash power.

Score 1.0/10
Good points:
Nice looking flash easy to read LCD with tilt and swivel head.
Bad points:
The flash fired three times then stopped working, I managed to get it to work when i got home but on the next outing the flashes motor inside would not stop rotating and there was a strong smell of burning, so switch it off straight away after the flash would not work at all.

Good points:
Reasonable guide number. Competitive price. Seems to work well with my Nikon D3100 so far. Swivel as well as bounce good for more creative shots. Slave operation works with built in camera flash. Recharge time good with re-chargeable batteries.
Bad points:
None so far.

Score 7.0/10
Good points:
Works great on the camera. Easy to use and understand. Great features for a product at this price
Bad points:
Cheap plastic construction puts doubts on it's durability for professional use. Minor point but the buttons are a little fiddly.
