The remotes volume jumps two stages of volume when pressed compared to the volume on the base unit which is one. so if you want it a tad loader it becomes to loud.

Good points:
Absolutely brilliant sound. My wife and I auditioned dozens of docks including the Zeppelin and Sound Dock and this was significantly better sound wise. It has a nice natural balanced sound, the top end is crisp and airy and the bottom end is punchy. It actually reveals a huge amount more of what's in a song - you really can hear every detail. The remote is very good considering it only has 6 buttons, it still allows you to navigate your iPod as well as pause, stop, play, volume etc.

It also looks great and the sound is the same from all around the unit thanks to the design. In short, it's a genius piece of kit that you'd be happy to pay twice the money for!
Bad points:
The volume increases from one button push to the next is quite large, a more subtle increase would have been the icing on the cake.

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Excellent option for those of us who can't afford a Bose. After reading comments about the remote, I found it to be adequate if a little basic. Certainly does not detract from the overall satisfaction.
Bad points:
Initially made a loud and disconcerting popping noise when the Ipod was placed on the dock. This has sorted itself out though.

Reasonable quality sound, compact and easy to use, overall a quality system for the price.
Bad points:
All sound adjustments eg bass, treble are determined by your Ipod a pity this could that this could not be controlled by the unit remote.
