Some customer reviews of INTEL SSDSC2CT180A4K5 SSD

Most helpful reviews

Ronski, Kent, UK Hardware enthusiast

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
This is a full kit, including adapter bracket, screws, molex to sata power adapter, and also a very nice flexible sata cable. The bracket was a tight fit into the case, but that could of been my 10 year old case. The drive is very fast, as are most recent SSD's. Coupled with my updated hardware and Windows 7 it makes for a very fast responsive system. Also 180GB size is good for OS and data, a 120GB drive could be a bit small.
Bad points:
None that I can think of.

Peter , Barnstaple Looking for good value

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Have installed in 2 laptops to date and they seem to be working well at the SATA 3Gb/s transfer rate. My machines are a few years old and do not comply with newer SATA 6Gb/s interface. They replaced existing 5200rpm 160GB Toshiba hard disks.
These Intel SSDs have improved machine response time noticeably and my impression so far is that it has been a worthwhile investment.
Bad points:
The recommended downloadable Acronis migration software from the Intel website is rubbish.
Will not even load on my XP systems and gives a 'fatal error'.
Same experience on 2 systems.
Used 'free' EaseUS Disk Copy to clone new SSD without a problem.
Have had similar experiences with Acronis backup and restore software in the past. It often leaves you hanging and baffled by unhelpful error messages. Don't even bother with it.
