The Indesit BIAA12SI looks great in a modern silver finish and the handles are nicely recessed into the door. It comes hinged on the right, but if this doesn’t suit your kitchen layout you can easily reverse it round.
There are 182 litres in the fridge with 3 shelves and 2 salad compartments. It has an auto defrost feature that melts away any condensation that freezes on the back wall. This gets drained out through a small hole at the bottom and evaporated into the air so you won’t need to scrape ice away. The walls are also coated in an antibacterial protection – this greatly reduces bacteria build up, giving you a safer environment for your food.
The freezer holds 90 litres of space, which is a decent size. You get 3 pull out drawers with see-through fronts, but what’s really handy are the integrated ice cube trays. These rest in the front of each drawer, doing away with the need to balance them on top of your frozen food.
It’s received an efficient A+ energy rating, costing around 9p a day to run. That’s really cheap for any fridge freezer and will save you money on your bill if you are replacing an older one. It isn’t a noisy appliance either; the 41dB noise level is about average for a quiet fridge freezer.
