Good points:
Immersive! It's the future for sure.
Bad points:
Its still early days for this tech. Only get it if you can afford to spend the £s on a generation 1 product.

+ make sure you have a beefy pc.

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
Terrific fun with minimal adjustment. (Better preparing yourself not to fall over or bump into your environment)
Bad points:
You really do need space for this product. I have dedicated a room to this toy. And although you can play it in standing/sitting mode most games out there require a lot of mobility to play properly.

William, Bournemouth Geek

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
The HTC Vive is the premiere virtual reality experience. It's hard to describe how good it is as it really is something you will need to try for yourself. It's flexibility from seated to full room-scale experiences gives this product a large number of use case scenarios from driving game/simulators to educational and professional training. The possibilities are endless. Developing for the headset is very easy thanks to Valve providing plugins for commonly used game engines and the fact that it's an open platform means you can use it for whatever you want! The front facing camera is also very useful for finding where you are in your play space without taking off the headset. Nausea is not issue at all thanks to the very accurate 1:1 tracking. I only stop using it when I get tired from moving around so much or it's just the end of the day, as you can continuously use it for 1-2 hours with no problems (though I've not tried more energetic games like racing or flight sims yet). Overall, the HTC Vive is the gold standard and I hope the competition follows the lead of this great product, the future is looking bright for virtual reality, even if most people seem to look the other way.
Bad points:
You may need to be careful of the wire as it can be a bit of a trip hazard, however the more you use the headset, the more you develop a 'sixth sense' of knowing where it is so this can be easily avoided over time.
