Score 9.0/10
Good points:
This phone is the best I have ever had. I really wanted an I Phone and when my friends got an I phone I was instantly envious however now I have the desire I really do not like the I phone anywhere near as much. It is great at syncing your outlook calander, facebook and twitter to your phone book and downloading applications from the Market place couldn't really be easier! The web browser is very speedy and flicking between pages there is no lag, getting email on the go is instant and the touch screen is very responsive. The screen is fantastic very bright and clear and shows websites and pictures up very well. Videos look great you can watch videos from all over the web including tv shows and films which show up brilliantly on the large. bright screen. I find it a fantastic companion for travelling as I travel a lot and have been able to play many games and download many useful apps.
The camera is good for a phone although only 5mp if you just want to take snapshots it is perfect and the in built flash works very well.
Wirless connection is easy to set up.
Bad points:
Well battery life is very poor - i suggest investing in spare chargers so you always have one! I have to charge once a day and twice if I am using a lot of apps and games and watching videos. I usually just charge it over night.
Alarm clock doesnt work if phone is switched off.
The touch screen is very sensitive and txting can take a while to get used to but it may just be my clumsy hands.

Score 5.0/10
Good points:
Firstly when upgraded to htc its an excellent smart phone lots of good features the email accounts easy to set up all good its easy ish to use got this as a second phone to enable me to turn my works phone off and its much cheaper than I phone to run the google android apps are good and readily available
Bad points:
Right if you are going to use this as a semi business phone DONT the battery life is AWFUL worse than the I phone I use my phone mainly at night to ring my wife and family when iam away from home and use a Blackberry for work which is a far more business related phone and battery life is much better (well couldnt get any worse) If you like to talk or do multiple calls dont buy this it frustrates the life out of me constantly charging in the car and at work it also is awful at pairing with bluetooth car kits had to go on several forums to find out how to get my numbers to transfer and sync i foolishly put my twitter account on it and it scrambled it again !

Please this phone is good but just not good enough its now on e bay and have bought a second Blackberry

Score 6.0/10
Good points:
.Clean feel
.Easy to use, like most phones
.Battery does last long but is highly dependent on how you manage it
.I would advise rooting the phone

Bad points:
.Would not say it is worth the money
.Severely limited by internal memory, meaning you can get 4 or 5 main applications with maybe 10 smaller ones.
.Kinda lags with only a few applications. This related to the little internal memory.

Manufacturer's Description

HTC Desire delivers intense brilliance, sharp contrast, and true colors on the expansive 3.7-inch AMOLED display. The 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor makes the phone incredibly responsive as you multitask from app to app without skipping a beat, while the instinctive HTC Sense experience lets you wield the power of the HTC Desire with the greatest
of ease.

Make It Mine
With the HTC Desire, it’s all about your information, your entertainment, your multimedia … your way. A multitude of HTC Sense widgets makes it easy to transform your Home screen with rich content that personalizes your phone experience.

If you’re a sports junkie or simply love to keep up to date with the latest news, the HTC Desire keeps you in the know with the News application. News makes it easier than ever to collect all your favorite articles from across the web. Choose from a selection of channels that cover top blogs, news sites or sports pages, or get news updates based on the keywords you select.

Stay Close
The HTC Desire excels at helping you stay in touch with the different circles of friends or colleagues in your life. The new People widget lets you bring any group you create on your phone right to the surface for easy access to calling, messaging, emailing or simply checking up on social networking updates.

The HTC Desire simplifies the way that you tend to all of your social networks. With Friend Stream, your interaction with friends across multiple social networks like Facebook®, Twitter™, and Flickr™ are brought into a single easy to follow stream of updates, photo posts, and shared links. Friend Stream also lets you shout out your thoughts or feelings to all your online friends with a single comment that gets broadcast to both Facebook and Twitter.

Discover the Unexpected
HTC Desire offers an expansive display, a blazing-fast processor, and a great interface. On top of that, it has a lot of little design touches that make a big impact on your overall phone experience: like the new ‘Leap’ thumbnail view that lets you easily jump to any of the seven panels on your Home screen, or the polite ringer that lowers the ringer volume when you pick up
the phone.

Your work email, calendar appointments, and contacts, are right there on your phone – you can even look up any company contact in the global address book. The HTC Desire also has enhanced support for Exchange security features such as password protection and remote data wipe. And, if you forget to tell your colleagues that you are taking the much needed day off, you can set the ‘Out of Office’ status right from your phone.

HTC Desire was designed to thrive on the web. The screen size is perfect for mobile browsing, with the high resolution AMOLED display making everything you view ultra crisp. The pinch to zoom feature makes zipping around websites intuitive – the text even automatically reflows when you take a closer look so you don’t have to pan left or right, and the Adobe® Flash® support opens up the vast video and gaming resources of the Internet.

HTC Desire’s browser is designed to do more than simply browse. With just a press and hold you can select text on a page and look it up in Wikipedia or have it converted into your native tongue via Google translation tools.
