Good points:
Can't believe how small and neat it is.
Completely silent running.
Back up software runs silently in the background. I've used other backup software in the past but this is the best.
Speed is fantastic even running on the USB 2 connection. after the initial full backup I haven't noticed the incremental backups at all.
Bad points:
Its a bit tricky to figure out how to access some of the menus in the back up software - some of the headings are actually active links. Once I realised that it was trivially easy to set up.

Good points:
Easy to use, software included - I had my whole hard drive backed up within 15 minutes of receiving this drive - and I'm terrible with technology!
Bad points:
None I can think of.

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Very simple to use. I did not want to use the backup software--- so simply did not install. Just used the drive to store files from two computers. I was very impressed with the speed that I could save large video files compared to using a USB flash drive.
Bad points:
Non so far. Too early to comment on reliability as only purchased 3 weeks ago!!

Good points:
Simple plug in & use - no fiddling about with extra software. Even someone with little experience could use this little magic box. Backs up in a matter of minutes unlike the present situation with "the cloud" which seems to take forever - especially if more than 1 piece of hardware is involved. I have backed up both my laptop & e book in no time. Can't imagine how anyone who only uses home computing would need any more capacity than this little unit provides.
Bad points:
Haven't experienced any yet. Bear in mind I have only received prior to Christmas 2011. ( 1mth.)

Steven,

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Very sleek and great size for portability. USB 3.0 is super fast! The HP simple save is a brilliant and easy to use peice of software for backing up everything you could dream of. The software doesn't encrypt your backup either which is good, i.e. if you've backed up your films and then plug your drive into another pc, you can use a file explorer to access and watch you backed up film. I've had other drives which encyrpt it making it useless for anything other than a backup.
Bad points:
Depending on where your USB port is, the cable could be a little short. Using it with my HP HPE-H8-1050uk where the USB 3.0 ports are on the top tray the cable length is not an issue. However, with my desktop pc at work the USB ports are at the bottom of the front face meaning I can't rest the drive anywhere sensible and it has to sit on the floor.
