Good points:
Great screen / performance / looks
Bad points:
BUYER BEWARE! A serious problem with the balance and bass setting constantly flickering on screen (which if youre in the middle of typing something is a real pain). If you google it, its a common and known problem on Dv8's and their predecessors, apparently without a fix. I was sent a new bios update which hasnt helped and now fan runs on high setting constantly which is really annoying. HP want machine back for repair, and its only a few days old. Their support have been responsive, shame really as the machine could be great.

Good points:
Great for multi media - the large screen really makes a difference. Compared to my last computer this is much faster and the windows 7 is easy to use.
Bad points:
Size means it is more difficult to find a laptop bag to protect it on its travels. It is also heavier than the smaller laptops for moving around.

Good points:
Big screen with fantastic picture quality. Powerful processor handles lastest games such as Call of Duty: Modern warfare 2 with total ease. I've come from XP and find windows 7 very easy to use. Great sound from built-in speakers. Far better reception from wifi antenna compared to my last laptop.
Bad points:
It's not cheap.

Good points:
Brilliant laptop very good screen, keyboard and processing power. very quick and very easy to use and has all the connections you would need. it is very well designed and has a good bluray player.
Bad points:
Because of a full size keyboard and 18.4'' screen it is quite big and a little bit heavy but that is expected with the processo,r memory and hardrives used. the battery only lasts 2 hrs.

Good points:
Fast processor ans plenty of memory, big clear screen, good keyboard. Also like the the touch sensitive controls for the volume etc.
Bad points:
Rather heavy to be classed as a 'Laptop' it is more of a desktop replacement. Having said that I use it on my lap!
