Score 8.0/10
Good points:
V good value for money - can play modern games at a playable frame rate.
Premium look and feel.
Everything is nice and snappy - especially good for multi-taskers who like to leave lots of windows and browser tabs open.

Overall, would definitely recommend.
Bad points:
Refurbished product, so I was expecting a couple of problems, but the laptop initially crashed every 5 mins or so. Worked out that the dedicated graphics card was causing probs with the system. I updated all drivers and haven't had a problem since.

The touchpad is useless - I've ordered a wireless mouse as the trackpad veers wildly from far too over sensitive to numb - often within the same movement.

Good points:
This laptop is very smart, looks very similar to the Macbook Pro or the HP Envy series. I'm very impressed with the design, only HP can offer great design and performance to a laptop, excluding Apple. The Intel Core i5 chip is very fast, easily manage all your email, internet and office applications.
As I'm a student I wanted something smart, good performance and portable. This had it all even with a low price tag compared to similar specifications on different brands.
The graphics are pretty decent but don't expect it to run Crysis at max settings. But it can play Fifa 11 at max settings but you have to set the graphics settings to high performance, and the power management to high performance, but still a good experience on a laptop.
You get a verity of ports including VGA, HDMI, 4 USB with eSATA combo, audio and mic in, express card and Kensington lock not forgetting the AC plug.
It also comes with a fingerprint reader which is a great plus, I use it to log on to Windows and it is a fast way to log in instead of typing a password. You can set multiple fingers and also set different people if you share the laptop with family.
The indicator lights are on the side of the laptop which is a plus for me because I don't like them to be on the front of the laptop because it can distract you if your watching a movie in the dark.

Overall a great laptop for any user looking for a decent spec laptop with great design and portability.
Bad points:
The touch pad/track pad is one of the bad points I feel, HP tried to copy Apple with their glass touch pad. But they didn't make a good job out of it. It is a bit fiddly at first and a bit of getting used to. the left and right click buttons are quite stiff and require more force than usual but over time you will get used to it. I recommend playing around with the settings of the mouse, it comes with many options to change which can best suit your need.

I also don't like the bundled software which HP install on their laptops, I recommend uninstalling most of them but keeping the essentials like HP Wireless and the HP Webcam software etc.
