Good points:
What a superb machine!! The best laptop I've ever used! Some further details:

- Super fast processor (can be over clocked although this may increase temperature).
- Very high specification.
- Multitude of connectivity.
- Everything loads in a flash in Windows 7 on this machine.
- Love the design and styling.
- Comes with 4 GB RAM expandable to 8 GB so future proof.
- Massive 500 GB Hard drive.
- 1 GB Graphics card!
- Bluetooth.
- Brilliant vibrant colors on the LED backed screen.
- Can run any of the latest games and they look superb via HDMI out on yo my super high definition 24" full HD monitor. And guess what guys, picked this up a snip under 480 quid refurbished - maybe it was the last one in the UK (however looks brand new and has no marks on it whatsoever).
- Can install a TV out card in the Express card slot and use the remote that comes with this laptop to complete full media centre experience.
Bad points:
- Maybe could have been a little lighter as the newer models are coming out at 2.4 kg instead of this one at 2.88 kg which is still not too bad.
- Haven't been able to test the battery life as I mainly use at home but I've heard that it's not brilliant but what do you expect with this kind of processing power? I think 2-3 hours on low settings is still brilliant for a quad-core.
- Would have preferred a Blu-ray drive to the Light-scribe Optical that comes on-board (but at this price - who cares?) so I swapped it with another machines and now I have Blu-ray on this machine as well!!

Apple Mac - eat your heart out.

Good points:
excellent performance givin the price. plays most games effortlessly, great for normal to advanced tasks.
Bad points:
Seems to attract a never ending amout of smudges and fingerprints, having to clean it everyday, but when smudge free its a beautiful. battery could be better but considering the power behind it its not bad. few things that dissapoint.

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
The I7 processor is powerful and with 4GB of RAM it's always keeping up with everything I do from streaming videos/music, downloading files and playing on games.
The graphics card is powerful and works a treat, as I am able to play games on the highest level of detail.
The design is sleek and stylish with a touch sensitive volume control which comes in handy if you need to quickly cut the sound.
The value for money is very good when compared to all the other laptops I was looking at for the same price.
The base scores go as follows:
Processor - 6.2
Memory (RAM) - 7.4
Graphics - 6.4
Gaming Graphics - 6.4
Primary Hard Disk - 5.9
So the base score is 5.9 (thats higher then my desktop, although that is now 3 and a half years old), remember this is windows scoring system which goes on a scale from 1.0-7.9.
Bad points:
It does weigh a little bit, but then again its not overally heavy. Its a standard weight for a 15.6" laptop so can't really complain.
The battery life isn't great. If I am playing games it normally lasts about 1-1.5 hours but if its just word, a bit of music and a few videos it can last 2-3 hours. So not bad but not great, about the same as other laptops.
If I am playing on games it can get a little bit hot. But because I have a stand for it to go on with a fan, all I have to do is plug it in and everything stays nice and cold which is good. So yet again I can't really complain.

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
As a refurbished model, this represented great vfm, having a top i7 processor. Screen at 15.4" is plenty big enough for most usage and offers really vibrant colours; the sound quality is way better than I expected too.
Bad points:
Running graphics/photo processing knocks the battery life, but I guess even then it's still a couple of hours. The lft/right click buttons on the track pad are also a little stiff and not quite a responsive as would be ideal.

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Great processor, good zies hard drive, comfortable keyboard, good inputs, great as a software development box, excellent value for money
Bad points:
4GB not really enough these days, but 8GB not too expensive (not much more than a hundred quid). Display would have been better if it was 1600x900 or 1920x1080, but for the price it is exceptional. Could have done with a Blu-Ray drive, but again, for the price it is more than adequate.

Good points:
After upgrading to 8gb of ram performance is excellent. I would definately recommend this laptop.
Bad points:
The screen is a bit glarey. For about the same money new you could buy the base model MBP which i'd recommend.
